You must have a DipSW or a Degree in Social Care, a current CRB and be registered with the GSCC.   Main duties:   In your role as QSW, Child Protection Referral and Assessment you will be carrying out the following duties:   Initial Assessments Taking Referrals Working as part of Duty team Carrying out Section 17 investigations Child Protection Report Writing   The right candidate be expected to visit the home and involve the child in the interview, as well as other external organisations where appropriate.   Excellent knowledge of the Children Act 1989 is a must, with specific experience of section 17 and section 47 assessments.
